The library of the Evangelical Parish in Świdnica

The library of the Evangelical Parish in Świdnica is a unique collection of manuscripts, old prints and publications dating from 1800 until now. The Parish is located in the Peace Church, the well - known and widely recognized site, e.g. by the UNESCO organization.
The rich collection dates back to the middle of the 16th century and has no modern counterpart. For years, it has constituted spiritual, intellectual and even administrative base for the neighbouring temple of the Holy Trinity, which distinctively increases its value.
The collection is the only original intellectual dossier of the Protestant religious congregation in Silesia, the source extended and updated with the years. The collection may become the work base for academic or didactic researchers interested in the legacy of Silesian Protestantism. Moreover, the Protestantism alive and active for nearly four centuries.
