  Mdz., 24,6 x 15,9 cm (24,4 x 14,4), wiz. 19,7 x 13,0 (1619-1681/2), karzeł. ”Jeffrey Hudson died in 1682. The celebrated Dwarf in the reigns of Charles the first & second.” (napis nad portretem). Stojący 3/4 w p. w wykroku p. nogą na wprost. Włosy opadające na plecy i ramiona pod wysokim kapeluszem o zwężonym kołpaku i zagiętym rondzie z kokardą z przodu. W wamsie i bufiastej koszuli z wystawionym kołnierzykiem lamowanym półokrągłymi zębami. Przez l. ramię pas torby przy p. biodrze. W prawicy laska wsparta o grunt ukośnie w p. róża. W uniesionej lewicy smycz psa stojącego przy l. nodze. W tle pejzaż ze stromym zboczem po p., angielską zielenią w centrum i po l., z wyniosłą wieżą na tle niskiego horyzontu. W p. dolnym rogu motyl w l. Pod prostokątem kursywą po l: „G. P. Harding delint.”; w centrum: „Published Decr. 1st. 1810.”; po p: „James Stow sculpr.”. „Jeffrey Hudson Died in 1682.”. Poniżej 7 wersowa nota biogr. H. kursywą: „From the original by D Mylens in the collection of Sir Ralf Woodworf Barth:/ Born at Okcham, in Rutlandshire in 1619. Taken into the Service of the Duchess of Buckingham, at Burleigh/ between the age 7 & 9. and served up in a bld Pye, at an Entertainment given to Charles the First and his Queen/. Sent to France for the Queen's Midwife in 1630, & made prisonern by a Flemish [V]irate. Made a Captain of Horse in the/ Civil Wars; & fights a Duel on Horse back with Mr. Crofts, whom he killswith the first fire. Again made captive at-/ Sea, by a Turkish Rover, & carried into Slavery wherehe remains some years. Redeemed; settles for atime in his native/ county, Vasterwards removes to London. Commited to the Gate House as a Papist. & dies soon after his release in/ Dis Sixty-Third Year.”.
